Letter From: Director, Biura Sportu I Rekreacji, Wieslaw Wilczynski

To: All potential visitors and participants of Stadia Design and Technology 2009 (21-22 April 2009)

We are delighted to note that UKIP Media and Events, publisher of Stadia magazine, will host its Stadia Design & Technology (SDT09) event again in our capital of Warsaw. On behalf of the President of Warsaw I would like to extend our warmest welcome to all participants and visitors to this important industry meeting.

As many of you will be aware, Poland is to co-host UEFA’s Euro2012 Championships. This event is a trigger to not only the development of at least four UEFA-standard stadiums, including a new national stadium complex in Warsaw, but will also re-invigorate our country’s investment in all sports facilities for the good of future generations.

Coupled with our country’s ongoing integration into the European markets and an unprecedented wave of both public and private investment in our football and sports infrastructure, Stadia Design & Technology 2009 will take place at an ideal time.

We understand that Stadia Design & Technology 2009 will include an exhibition and conference presentations on the latest in sports venue, design, operations and technology. Pioneers and professionals in related fields will bring new ideas, new products and new experiences to share with each other.

As the body responsible for delivery of UEFA Euro 2012, we welcome Stadia Design & Technology 2009 to Warsaw again and we look forward to sharing our views, experiences and challenges at the event.

Yours sincerely,

Director
Biura Sportu I Rekreacji

“Stadia Design & Technology has been priceless, providing us with access to new people and new ideas. We are building our first stadium, so it’s been incredibly useful and valuable to be here, because we have learnt about so many new and fresh ideas, and met many interesting people – I nearly ran out of my business cards!”
Lukasz Wysocki, stadium operations specialist, National Sports Centre, Poland
